Come for hot soup and sausage roll at 5.30pm and meet Dan Steele one of NZ’s most successful and resourceful farmers.  Dan’s from Blue Duck Station, which has featured on 3 episodes of Country Calendar.

This remarkable farming enterprise, close to  the Whanganui River and Tongariro National Park combines conventional farming practice with tourism, conservation and a lot of innovation.

Dan is passionate about looking after the local native wildlife, which he happily shares with visitors from around the world, who come here to experience a place where adventure and environment go hand in hand.
