Dunedin Craft Distillers Tastings

  • Dunedin Craft Distillers 8 Roberts Street, Harbour Basin Dunedin New Zeland (map)

Week day 30 minute tours from 1pm-7pm from Wednesday 19th to Thursday 20th

Taste the flavour of the 2023 Festival theme of whenua.

Dunedin Craft Distillers’ gin is small batch brewed and distilled from surplus bread - 4 loaves up-cycled in every litre.

The enterprising women behind Dunedin Craft Distillers, Jenny McDonald and Sue Stockwell, sought to tackle the tonnes of bakery waste that end up in New Zealand landfills each year.  They are starting to make a big difference to local food waste.

Tours every 30 minutes. However if space allows, walk-ins can join the weekday tours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1pm-4pm.

Cost:  $15 pp | Bookings not essential but preferred during the week day tours

Hosted by Dunedin Craft Distillers: Dunedin Craft Distillers brew and ferment their own alcohol from bread and bakery waste and distill it into medal-winning spirits. They regularly feature locally sourced botanicals in their limited edition gins and run Bread to Bottle Tours from their distillery in Roberts Street, Harbour Basin.
