The first sod was turned here in 2015, and now it’s a very productive garden where volunteers do the work then harvest and share the produce at the end of each working bee.

Come along and take a tour of this community vegetable garden and orchard.

They make compost and worm juice and you can buy buckets of worm juice at the open day.

Hosted by The Green Island Community Garden: The community’s philosophy is simple. Come and help us in the garden and at the end of the working bee, harvest and share with the group. Any excess produce is given away. It’s a really happy and friendly place to be.
