Weathering Life as an Artist (Free)

  • Tūhura Otago Museum 419 Great King Street Dunedin, Otago, 9016 New Zealand (map)

Join artists Kerry Mackay and Janet de Wagt as they give a colourful insight into how they respond to our wild world.

Janet de Wagt and Kerry Mackay will share a glimpse into their lives as artists. Janet is often out in the wilds painting in all weathers, observing nature. Kerry is often indoors creating art with found objects and fabric, and looking out into the imaginative wild world.

Both artists also work in the realms of Art Education, Janet as an artist in residence at Bathgate Park School, and Kerry with fellow artist Pamela Brown at theartdept.

They will share some of their innovative art education projects that respond to the natural world with young artists across Otago and Southland.

Kerry and Janet will provide some artworks and lucky seat prizes so come along and take a seat for a lively evening of images and chat.
