A Change in the Weather (Sold Out)

  • Tūhura Otago Museum 419 Great King Street Dunedin, Otago, 9016 New Zealand (map)

Climate change poses big questions! What can we expect? What can we still avoid? How do we make ourselves more resilient? How much time do we have? Is there a positive future in which New Zealand is climate resilient and prospers?

Tim Naish, Professor in Earth Sciences and ex-Director of the Antarctic Research Centre, veteran of 15 scientific expeditions to Antarctica and an expert on the crises occurring in the cryosphere – polar ice sheets, ice shelves, sea ice, mountain glaciers and permafrost – shares his understanding of the issues.

This is a rare opportunity to learn from an engaging science communicator committed to helping the public better understand how Antarctica and our climate are changing, and what this means for us.
