Tim Naish, Professor in Earth Sciences and ex-Director of the Antarctic Research Centre, veteran of 15 scientific expeditions to Antarctica and an expert on the crises occurring in the cryosphere – polar ice sheets, ice shelves, sea ice, mountain glaciers and permafrost – shares his understanding of the issues.
