Gardening with Climate Change

  • Larnach Castle 145 Camp Road Dunedin, Otago, 9077 New Zealand (map)

Fiona Eadie, Head Gardener at Larnach Castle

A talk, a walk with Fiona Eadie, whilst pondering gardening in a changing climate, finishing with a tasting of Sandymount Gin.   .

“The climate is changing and to grow the plants we love we may need to be more observant to hunt for those spots in our garden that would best suit them.” Fiona Eadie

Where do we look for those microclimates in our garden?

What can help us find where they are?

How can we keep growing the plants we love, or is it time for a change?

Meet at the Stables for a talk and discussion about each other’s gardens and what changes people have noticed.

Followed by a tour with Fiona around the garden to observe what Larnach Castle is doing in the garden in a changing climate.

The event finishes at the petanque court to enjoy a canapé and a drink.

Cost: $45pp or ($30pp 'Loyal Local' pass holder)
