A pilot joins us on board MV Sootychaser as Port to Port venture into one of the most dangerous places for a large ship-the narrow winding passage of the Otago Harbour. 

Hear historical stories of pilotage gone wrong in bad weather.

See and learn about the work boats, pilotage vessels and if we are lucky, we'll see the large ships themselves.

Port to Port cruise departs from Port Chalmers, 39 Peninsula Beach Road - be there at least 15 minutes before departure time.
